UnderWater Wedding.. wanna try it?

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I know most of you wouldn’t get married under water, but  just for fun, would you consider renewing your vows  underwater at Trang in southern Thailand?

Every Valentine’s Day, dozens of couples wear scuba tanks and swim to an altar 12 meter below the Andaman Sea for a full Thai wedding ceremony. Brides do wear Wedding dresses and even the marriage certificate is signed underwater; the ceremony ends with the happy couple releasing one million baby shrimps and a giant clam onto the reef.

The Trang Underwater Wedding Ceremony runs from 12 to 14 February every year, and brides and grooms must be certified open-water divers.

4 days left to Dubai World Cup for Horseracing

4 days left until the Dubai world cup for horseracing on the 26th of March 2011. As we all noticed, The Dubai World Cup race meeting put the United Arab Emirates on the map, as it has become the home of one of the world’s top racing challenges, and has drawn the attention of millions of enthusiasts around the globe.

The Dubai World Cup is classified as a ‘Group 1 Flat Race’ & is now worth a staggering US$26.25 million. It’s not just about the world’s richest race, as the rest of the eight-race card is also stacked with quality.

Another aspect of Dubai world cup that I enjoy is the Style Stakes competition where contestants are competing for “Best Dressed Lady”, “Best Dressed Couple”, and “Best Hat” and for the first time “Best Dressed Man” to win generous & fun prizes.  Jaguar is going to be associated with the Style Stakes competition at the 2011 Dubai World Cup

When you can’t say it, point to it.

Ok so I think we can all agree that some languages are just too hard to speak, even if you have it written & you just need to read it out. I’m talking about Chinese, Japanese, and Thai languages.

Sometimes you just need quick directions for the bathroom, or the bus station. Therefore, I have the best quick solution for ya.

The MenoSpeak is a passport-sized book that has clean illustrations and critical phrases about food, money exchange, transportation and bathrooms, printed in English and the local language, so all you need to do is open to the page and point.

Quick & simple.

Price: $9.95.

Eva Langoria Beso Restaurant goes Bankrupt!

We posted before a review on Eva Langoria’s Restaurant Beso in Los Angeles. LINK.

Apparently, the Las Vegas branch has been facing problems keeping up with the lease. It was opened only two years ago, and has accumulated $5.7 million in debt, despite earning $14.6 million last year.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, Beso LLC filed for Chapter 11 protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for assets totaling $2.5 million.

Seems that even Eva Longoria’s Sin City restaurant is feeling the effects of the recession. The Los Angeles branch though is still a success.
