The opening of Louis Vuitton’s floating boutique

A couple of days ago I went to the opening of the new four-storey Louis Vuitton boutique at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore. Located in its own stand-alone construction with an architectural design of a glass-covered “jewel” that kinda looks like an ocean-going liner. It took my breath away, it really was a Vision!

HollyWood celebrity Kate Blanchett and other japanese and chinese celebrities attended the red carpet event. I was so star struck from celebrities, even from the ones I didn’t know or hear about. I was ecstatic!!! and not in a good way, in an embarrassing crazy way. LOL

Anyway, this floating LV boutique is a shopping stop for women AND men. The items include men’s and women’s accessories, ready-to-wear collections, shoes and watches. In addition, shoppers will be able to order the iconic, custom built items like the brand’s travel trunks.

There’s also a VIP lounge, a bookstore carrying Louis Vuitton’s published books (to my luck mostly on travel and art) & an art gallery featuring Singapore artists.

Definitely worth the visit if you happen to be around the area

Singapore, What about it?

Hey guys, since I’m in singapore, the focus of my upcoming posts will be about this country. I have to say I was blown away by Singapore, from a lot of aspects.

I learned that Singapore has a highly developed market-based economy, and is a world leader in several economic areas. Let me give you a quick idea of what I’m talking about:

  • it is the world’s fourth leading financial centre,
  • the world’s top three oil refining centre,
  • the world’s largest oil rig producing nation and a major ship repairing nation.
  • The port is one of the five busiest ports in the world.

The transportation is very safe & most importantly CHEAP. The methods of transportations available are taxis, buses, underground escalators, & underground trains (MRT). I Never had to worry about how to get to places, Pretty easy & simple.

The population of Singapore is (64%) Singapore citizens, & (36%) are permanent residents or foreign workers mainly from china, malaysia and india. The people here are really nice and friendly & I gotta add they have REALLY good work ethics.

The nation’s first language is English, but since its a multi racial country some speak Chinese, Malay, and Tamil.

The religions in singapore are mixed, there are Buddhist, Christians, Muslims, Hindus, and  atheist.

The mascot of Singapore is a mythical creature with the head of a lion and the body of a fish.

Last but not least (the good stuff), Singapore tourism is pretty high, we’re talking OVER 11,500,000 tourists in 2010! In my next posts I’ll show you WHY this place is such a tourist attraction.

Pretty interesting fun posts, So Stay tuned!!
